Dried Apricots Recipe

Prep Time 5 minutes
Dehydration time 20 hours

Ingredients

  • Apricots (Organic if possible)
  • 1 cup Lemon juice
  • 4 cups Water

Instructions

  1. Wash apricots well and let dry.

  2. Add water and lemon juice in a large bowl

  3. Cut apricot in half with a sharp knife and place them in the lemon juice water. (This will prevent the apricots from browning)

  4. Let apricots sit for 5 minutes in the lemon water.

  5. Take your thumb and gently push each apricot half from the back (skin side) upward to slightly push out the center. 

  6. Lay out each apricot half on the dehydrator tray with an even amount of space between.

  7. Dehydrate at 135º F for 20 - 24 hours.
