Dehydrated Watermelon Jerky Recipe

Easy Dehydrated Watermelon Jerky Recipe

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 12 hours

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Seedless Watermelon
  • 1 - 2 tsp Sea Salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut watermelon in 1/4″ slices. Make sure your slices aren't to thick.

  2. Cut around the inner part of the watermelon in a circular direction to remove the rind

  3. Cut into long strips at first. Then cut the strips in half.

  4. Place all the watermelon strips on your dehydrator trays. Sprinkle some Sea Salt (optional).

  5. Dehydrate watermelon strips at 135° F for 18 hours or until fully dry. You can flip each watermelon strip after about 9 hours for even dehydration on both sides.

  6. Let cool and then enjoy!

Recipe Notes

If your watermelon strips are a little watery, use Paraflexx sheets on your trays and dehydrate them that way. Or if you don't have any Paraflexx sheets, place your trays over your sink to allow some of the water to drain from your watermelon strips.
